The classes are intended for professionals interested in expanding their competence in extended reality (XR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies. Prior knowledge in digital content creation or programming is not required. The classes are structured in a modular format with integration of practical and theoretical components. Program Objective
To provide systematic theoretical knowledge and practical competencies in virtual reality user experience design, using intensive training methodology with high learning efficiency. The training program focuses on VR project development and management. We will offer learning how to effectively plan, organize and implement your projects. We will focus on various systems in the Unity Engine virtual reality game development program so that students can learn to develop VR projects. This course is particularly suitable for those who wish to connect their education with game or virtual reality project development.
About the Courses
Classes will take place on Saturdays from 10:00. Duration: 3.5 hours (210 minutes) per session. Theoretical and practical parts. Course cycle: 4 weeks. Technology and equipment: the school is equipped with powerful gaming computers and the latest generation Oculus Quest 3 headsets. Each student is allocated 10m2 of space for full and safe movement in the virtual reality environment. Computer monitors have freely adjustable positions, and workstations are equipped with ergonomic chairs to ensure maximum working comfort.
Content
Week 1: Virtual Reality fundamentals and experience design principles. Introduction to virtual reality, immersive experience design and its importance in VR environment. VR industry overview, target audience understanding, VR project planning.
Week 2: Interactive design and level design. Game design basics: how to plan and structure VR experiences to be engaging and challenging. Level design: principles of game environment creation and dynamic gameplay.
Week 3: Narrative and user experience in VR games. Importance of narrative design: how to create emotionally impactful stories in VR games. User experience design in VR games: how to develop comfortable and intuitive user experiences.
Week 4: Technical design and publication. Sound design and its role in increasing immersion. System design and technical skills: from idea to publication, game placement in the Meta Quest store and marketing basics.
