Dateks Gaming School stands as Latvia’s pioneering virtual reality game design institution dedicated exclusively to children and young adults.

We are driven by the mission to equip Latvian youth with creative problem-solving skills through cutting-edge technologies, within an immersive learning environment.

What do we offer?

At our institution, we offer a diverse and educational journey, integrating the latest pedagogical and recreational elements. Our tailored approach caters to each age group, providing customized difficulty levels, personalized instruction, and interactive activities aimed at nurturing children’s talents and interests.

Our curriculum embraces the AGILE methodology, fostering a flexible and efficient learning environment where children are actively engaged, motivated, and united in achieving shared objectives. We employ the SMART problem-solving approach to guide children in structuring and resolving complex challenges through concrete goals and strategic methods. Virtual reality game development software Unity Engine classes are fun and interactive, giving children the opportunity to learn how to develop games and apps using one of the world’s leading game development tools. Additionally, we offer play breaks, providing opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment with Meta Quest 3 virtual reality glasses, board games, computer and console games, fostering socialization and skill development among peers.

Classes are held at the Dateks Training Centre, boasting expansive, well-lit rooms equipped with the latest generation gaming PCs and Meta Quest 3 virtual reality glasses. These are accompanied by ergonomic tables and chairs, and provided with Venden water. The premises have been certified by the Health Inspection for educational use.

Class Leader, Virtual Reality Programme

  • BA: Falmouth University, Game Development and Design, UK.
  • Currently pursuing master’s studies at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, focusing on Virtual Reality and Smart Technologies.
  • Alice serves as a lead designer at VETVR and VREACH. Collaborating with mentors from Ubisoft UK, she has overseen the development of two acclaimed virtual reality games, both of which were shortlisted for the Rookies Award.
  • Passionate about nurturing the next generation of talent, Alice finds joy in working with children and young adults. Through sharing her wealth of experience and knowledge, she strives to inspire students to hone their skills and embark on enriching journeys in virtual reality game design.
