Animation is a creative discipline that combines art, technology, and storytelling, giving students the opportunity to visually express their ideas and emotions.
By working in an animation environment, young people develop imagination, visual and narrative thinking, as well as the ability to focus on process, detail, and long-term work. These skills not only encourage creative expression but also strengthen problem-solving, collaboration, and the visualization of abstract ideas. Animation is an excellent way to unite art and technology in a playful, youth-friendly format.
About the lessons:
Duration: 90 minutes. Each session begins with an engaging lecture and demonstration (25–30 minutes), where students explore a specific animation technique or creative task. In the practical part (55–60 minutes), students draw their own characters, create motion frames, and build short animations in a digital environment. At the end of the session, they present their work, share ideas, and participate in discussions that foster self-expression and teamwork skills.
Group size:
Up to 8 students. Small groups allow the instructor to focus on each participant’s creative growth and provide personalized support throughout the project. Individual expression is encouraged while ensuring a safe and positive learning environment where every student feels valued and understood.
Technology and equipment:
The school provides powerful computers with animation software suited for students and intuitive digital drawing tools. Workstations are equipped with adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs, and quality lighting to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for extended creative work.
Curriculum:
The program is specially adapted to the age group of younger students, taking into account their perception, interests, and developmental needs. The learning process emphasizes play, experimentation, and creative freedom. The teacher creates a supportive atmosphere where young people can safely try out new ideas without fear of mistakes.
